HOW TO READ THE BOARD

Method

Where the numbers come from

  • Every rating is lifted from the athlete’s own GameRun scorecard — 805 graded skills across 74 reports. Nothing is estimated or projected.
  • Each report grades a different skill list, so ratings are grouped into seven shared categories. A category score is the mean of that athlete’s ratings inside it.
  • Compete / Effort is graded in 32 of 59 reports. Where it is missing, its 15% is redistributed across the remaining categories, so no athlete is penalised for a category their report skipped.
  • A dash means the report contained no rating for that category. Unrated cells always sort to the bottom.
  • Bands follow the reports’ own scale: 7 Good · 6 Above Average · 5 Average, applied to the composite.

GameRun score weighting

  • Composite = weighted mean of the five GameRun Scout categories, on a 0–100 scale. The board’s seven columns fold into those five. Weights are renormalised if a category is unrated.
SNSHockey Sense · IQ + DEF30%
SKTSkating & Mobility25%
PUCPuck Skills · PUC + SHT20%
CMPCompetitiveness15%
PHYPhysical Attributes10%
  • Compete / Effort now carries 15% as the Competitiveness category. Where a report never graded it, that weight is redistributed across the other four rather than scored as a zero.
  • Weights are position-neutral — forwards and defence run on the same five weights, so use the position filter when comparing like for like.
  • Composites here average 66.6 for forwards against 63.1 for defence, a gap driven mostly by the Hockey Sense and Competitiveness inputs.
